Sunsets on the Marsh – Jinks Creek Ocean Isle Style

If there's one thing we know.....

....it's the beauty of an OIB Sunrise or sunset.  With so many spots on the island to watch the sun come up or set....it's hard to decide the best place. Until now....not only can you see a spectacular sunset, but have a great meal or a cocktail with great friends and often you can combine that all with great live music! Of course we're talking about the reincarnation of Pogies to Jinks Creek Waterfront Grille. We love it for all those reasons!

If you're not aware...Jinks Creek is a child of Causeway Gourmet. Earlier this Spring the owners acquired the former Pogies restaurant and have transformed it into a unique and casual fine dining experience. And oh yes.....with some incomparable views from the upper deck Tiki Bar. You can get a glimpse of their menu just below.  Please be aware that the menu is subject to change based on availability. If you think the menu looks great...wait til you see....and taste...your selections in person!

Steamed fresh "Brunswick Catch" shrimp!

Snapper Serviche! - An amazing combination of sweet, fresh flavors!

Not looking for a full meal? How about a Po-Boy? Shrimp, oyster or fish. Fantastic!

What's best on a hot Summer afternoon? Gazpacho! Some of the best we've ever had

Jinks has quite a varied selection of entrees, appetizers, small plates, soups, deserts and so much more. Here's a couple of great examples.

Beside lots of choices for food and beverages, you can choose to dine inside in the dining room or in the bar area. Prefer to be outside? Up on the deck is the place to be!

What a great place to come mingle with friends and meet new ones!

Smiling faces everywhere!...from guests to servers! What a great staff!

As if the food, the service and the views aren't enough...as I said, there's 'live' music too! One of our favorite local performers is Randy Knight & Parrot Party. There's nothing like a sunny summer afternoon out on the deck with Phinz Up and enjoying some of the best Trop Rock around! Check out his Facebook page for schedules of his performances.

Now how about these views?? When you go to Jinks (and of course you should!)....be sure to bring your camera. It will be sensory overload!
