Aside from the beauty of the beaches along the Carolina Shore, we are also graced with some of the tastiest grapes on the planet which end up at marvelous wineries across the states. We’re lucky to have one of those wineries right here just a couple miles from the beach…La Belle Amie Vineyard. Located in Little River, it is the ideal addition to your vacation itinerary, especially since La Belle Amie…’the beautiful friend’… is open year round!
One thing you’ll love about the Vineyard is there philosophy towards wine which is as simple as it can be: enjoy your wine exactly how you like it! You won’t find anyone standing on tradition or forcing you to drink your white cold and your red warm. You’re the boss!
La Belle Amie is home to the Twisted Sisters brand of wines, some of which include:
- Beachin’ Babes (Medium Sweet White Wine)
- Spank Me Pink (Light Red Wine: Southern Style)
- Heavenly Body (Cabernet Sauvignon)
- Classy Lady (American Chardonnay)
- Bikini Blush (Medium Sweet Light Red Wine)
- Sweet Carolina Girl (Chilled Sweet White Wine)
- Cabana Boy (Just Peachy)
- Southern Gentlemen (Chilled Dry Red Wine)
If you’re not sure which one(s) you’ll like…you can taste many of them!
Tastings are offered Tuesday through Friday and on non-festival Saturdays from 10 to 5. Visitors can sample up to six tasty wines for just $6! To make your tasting sweeter… Every Thursday is half-price on wine tastings….all day. $3 includes tasting, tax, and wine glass.
If you’re fond of wine, you’re going to love visiting La Belle Amie. Even if you’re not a friend of the wines, you’ll still enjoy a visit to the vineyard, especially if you are making your visit on one of their many music days! They are known for bringing some of the best local musicians to entertain you while you enjoy your wines, or beer or soft drinks!
One of those such days was just this week! We were adorned with delicious sunshine and temperatures in the 70’s this week (yes…it’s February!). It made for the ideal environment to bring all of the Parrotheads down to the Carribean for the music of Jimmy Buffet (and more) by local favorite Randy Knight! Randy’s been bringing his Trop Rock music to the Carolinas for 7 years now. You’ll see him performing at La Belle Amie many times over the course of the year as well as many other venues along the shore. Check him out on his Facebook page where you’ll see a schedule of his upcoming events.
Check out some photos of Randy at La Belle Amie from February 7th:
If you’re familiar with Jimmy’s music, you’ll know one of the
Well…when Randy brings out the Volcano, it’s always going to result in the wave of a congo line! Thursday was no exception…and this was one of the best I’ve seen! Congrats to all who happily participated! Here you are:
If you’re at all familiar with the Myrtle Beach area, you already know that ‘Beach Music’ and the electric slide are the staples around here. You probably never knew that Randy’s ‘Trop Rock’ brought the slide out too! Sure was the first time for me seeing the Buffet slide….but these folks really had it goin’ on!
If you’re headed over this way in the coming months, please be sure to check out both Randy Knight and La Belle Amie. Not only will you have a blast….but you’ll also bring back some wonderful memories of your vacation.
