Hard Rock Park finds buyer for $25 million – Local – Myrtle Beach Online

Some surprisingly good news that might….just might resurrect the ‘Park formerly know as Hard Rock!” This would be such great news for the people of Myrtle…visitors to Myrtle and this suffering economy in general. It is so depressing to drive on the 501 over the ICW and see that entire area just slipping into wasteland!

Myrtle Beach Waves Goodbye to Bike Rallies!

It looks like it has finally happened……the death knell has rung for the Myrtle Beach Bike Rallies. After months…perhaps years….of threatening, MB City Council has passed legislation that will result in the rallies going on life support and dying a slow death.
We don’t live in SC full time so we can’t begin to claim to [...]

Visible valuables vanishing in MB

(A note from us…….while the Myrtle Beach area is certainly not known for it’s crime statistics, the opportunity always exists just about anywhere for it to exist. Please don’t ruin your visit thinking that a thief is lurking around every corner, however, do be vigilant and don’t create the easy opportunity for someone who just [...]

Cherry Grove – Beaches, Boating, Fishing and so much more!

One of the best aspects of owning our condo in Little River/Longs is its proximity to the Cherry Grove area and all it has to offer to both vacationers and residents alike. Being just 5 miles from the beach certainly also has its advantages as well. It’s enjoyable to be able to come back [...]

New Nature Preserve Opens in Cherry Grove!

Amidst the all concrete, the high rise hotels and the commercialism that Myrtle Beach has to offer, a little slice of peace, tranquility and nature has taken shape in what is the only parcel of land in Cherry Grove that has not fallen victim to the developer's bulldozers! Located just adjacent to the public boat ramp at 53rd St is the entrance to Heritage Shores Nature Preserve. It took a couple years to bring this project to fruition, but it was well worth the wait. Our hats off and our thanks to Marilyn Hatley, Mayor of the City of North Myrtle Beach who was instrumental in many phases of this project. It is a wonderful testament to those who believe in setting aside a beautiful parcel of land like this for the public use and enjoyment.
